They danced no more,
their limbs and loins
well past any Jollimore.
With bunions, aches & pains,
hoof & mouth, spurs & corns,
fungi & chilblains.
Who could dance with feets so sore?
(Not to mention them hips & knees).
Ah, but they can, neuropathic
as they might be, yet sit and
tap-tap-tap their bony toes,
setting up a clickety-clack,
that’ll raise up ol’ Easy Keels’
Red Hot Cha-Cha-Chas Revue
right up out of the bone yard,
to kick it up like in them bad
ol’ days of yore.
